Founded by brothers Philip Sansom & Rupert Sansom, PHIX is dedicated to creating beautifully crafted narratives for Digital, Broadcast and Cinema. We believe it is our responsibility as filmmakers to use our voices to champion important causes and inspire a positive future for our planet.

Our film productions have been commissioned by the likes of SKY Arts & Nowness and won multiple awards across short film, music video and feature documentaries - most recently winning ‘Best Music Documentary’ at Raindance 2020 & ‘Best Feature Documentary’ at Berlin IFF 2021.

As autumn lights the Scottish Highlands, feuding brothers Richard and Danny Drummond road trip into the wilderness of whisky country to carry out the last request of their late father. In order to receive their inheritance, they must sprinkle a prized bottle of single malt onto his final resting place. Distilled into twenty-four hours, this dark comedy drives the brothers into close quarters and towards an unexpected twist.

Jonny, a road worn thirty-something with money troubles and a drinking problem, washes up on the fabled Greek island of Ithaca, home to his ex-girlfriend Jane and her new partner Blake. Despite the initial tension, Jonny is invited to stay and get himself back on track. He begins to open up about his debts and the danger he is in: convincing Jane to sell a valuable piece of art they once brought together. As the trios relationships become increasingly complex, Blake and Jane reveal their struggles with infertility. The couple propose a deal to Jonny that leads to a complicated journey of conception, jealousy, and deceit. Jonny must confront his own demons and fight for love, redemption and a fresh start.
