Fashion shouldn’t cost the earth.
The mission was to expose the harsh realities of the fashion industry while highlighting those pioneering a new way in fashion. We wanted to show that while the fashion industry is the second most polluting in the world, there are solutions - real, tangible ones - being implemented right now. This project was never just about stating the facts (though they are shocking: fashion could use over 26% of the carbon budget by 2050 if nothing changes). It was about offering hope and showing how innovations like leathers made from fruit, a range of new biomaterials, and eco-friendly dye technologies are reshaping the industry.
Fashion’s impact is enormous, but so is the potential for change.
